Hublot announced the opening of the second watchmaking factory to respond to the growing demand for watchmaking and continue the vertical development of production. Compared with the first headquarters factory building in 2009, which was only six years into operation, the area of Nyon Watchmaking Center doubled.

From the day the foundation stone was laid, it took a year and a half to complete the second new Hublot factory with an area of 8,000 square meters. The first factory established in 2009 witnessed the brand’s growth into a magnificent, ultra-modern, high-tech watchmaking company. Today, the newly completed second headquarters building is adjacent to it, and it also witnesses an important milestone of the brand-an extraordinary achievement. The 10th anniversary of the successful Big Bang series. At the same time, Hublot will also carry out activities in 73 stores around the world, celebrating the extraordinary moment of the 10th anniversary of Big Bang.
The completion of Hublot’s new headquarters factory, built by Swiss-based Nyon construction company Coreta, has witnessed the brand’s great development and brilliant achievements. The total investment is 20 million Swiss francs. In the next 5 years, Hublot plans to set up 100 studios here, bringing Hublot’s Swiss staff to more than 400 people. The new factory is located next to the first headquarters factory and mainly produces its own movements and cases. CNC equipment, decoration, electroplating, general machinery, cleaning workshops and other micro-mechanical workshops, after-sales service centers and some management departments have all moved into the new factory building in August this year.

The original factory building has also been renovated. The first floor is completely used by the innovation and R & D department, dedicated to the research and development of new materials and highly complex movements. This also allows the ASP (Supply Assembly), T1 (Caliber Assembly), T2 / T3 (Head and Watch Assembly) departments and high-complex movement studios to be relocated to follow the development of Hublot. Finally, the production hall, which is mainly used for the production of watch cases and carbon fiber components, and the inlaying plant have also been merged into the main plant in Nyon.
In terms of sustainable development, Hublot will install two ‘Private One’ charging terminals to optimally power electric cars and electric motorcycles. At the same time, Hublot will also use solar panels to supply power to the factory building, and its technical equipment also pays special attention to energy efficiency performance. In terms of energy design, the energy performance of the outer structure of the Hublot factory building exceeds 20% of the SIA380 / 1 standard (Swiss Engineering and Construction Association), and other technical facilities also comply with SIA international standards.
